Each PLT will be given two projects to complete this year. To start with, choose one project. Take some time exploring the sample projects, then brainstorm possible ideas for your own projects. Each project should include at least two other disciplines. Preferably, math skills would be included. Collaboration among career majors is also encouraged. The idea is to help the students transfer knowledge from one discipline to another, in other words, help them see the big picture and make connections. Projects should end with a presentation.

After choosing two to three project choices from your list, write a synopsis for each. A discussion board will be posted. Please take time to review your colleague's projects and offer insight and encouragement.

Once the project is chosen, evaluated, and decided upon, each PLT will complete unit templates, rubrics, sample lessons and hand outs. Make the lesson as complete as possible for teachers from other PLT's. Please use the Common Core Standards in addition to career major standards. Projects should include standards from more than one discipline. Under the English Language Arts link are standards for History, Sciences, and Technology. A link to the Common Core Project is here:

Projects from first semester will be implemented in the second semester. Plans will be revised and lessons improved. During second semester, the process will be repeated with each PLT's second project.
